Vertical video is no longer a format — it's a default. The question for 2026 isn't whether to make vertical content, but how to make it well, at scale, in a way that builds something durable instead of disposable.
We pulled together insights from the work we shipped over the past 12 months across creator partnerships, brand campaigns and our own owned-and-operated channels. The patterns are clearer than they've ever been.
First lesson: hook windows are getting longer, not shorter. Second: the difference between a 10M-view video and a 100M-view video is almost always editing pace, not concept. Third: cross-platform reuse is finally a solved problem if you produce vertical-native from storyboard.
